The SW200 was initially developed for, and with input from, Part 15 license-free AM hobby broadcasters.  Over the eight-plus years that it has been in production, the SW200 found ready application not only with the Part 15 crowd, but with with ham-radio operators and both AM-band and short-wave commercial broadcasters as well.
